Does AI even know that you have a podcast?
If not, there’s a reasonably simple way to tell it.
Listen Now:
When I’m talking about telling the AI platforms you have a podcast, I don’t mean opening up a chat and letting them know, and I’m certainly not talking about a sentient AI that’s personally aware of who you are and what you’re doing and what you’re saying.
I’m talking about the engines and the internet robots that crawl the internet looking for answers to the questions that people are asking.
And there’s a way to communicate with those internet robots – with the AIs, with the search engines, with everything else – by using a labeling language on your website on the back end. It’s called schema markup and it’s essentially a barcode that says exactly who you are, what your website is, what your business is, what your podcast is about, and even what every individual episode is about.
You can configure this schema to be readable by search engines and AI platforms so that when people search for you, you’re easy to find.
Now, it’s not a magic bullet that will make the different platforms cite you, or launch you to the top of the search results – but it puts you in the running, and, increasingly, is becoming best practice for websites.
Setting this up is a little bit complex, but it’s definitely something that we can help you with. If you’re interested in learning more – we can help!
