When Verity Craft sat down with Megan Dougherty on the Business Podcast Spotlight, she was just a few episodes into Intelligent Think, the new show she co-hosts with her business partner Christina Wedgwood. What started as a plan to create more video content quickly turned into a full podcast and it’s already sparking real conversations, client leads, and fresh ideas. Verity was looking at how to keep that momentum going, make the most of the content they were creating, and use the podcast to deepen both their thought leadership and their network.

What’s Happened So Far

Looking at Verity’s situation, she and Christina had already built a strong business helping purpose-driven experts write powerful, impactful books. They knew they wanted to create more content but the original idea did not include podcasting. They simply started filming the kinds of conversations they were already having behind the scenes.

Pretty quickly, those conversations became Intelligent Think – a co-hosted show that highlights the kind of deep thinking and collaboration their clients get when working with the team at Intelligent Ink. Without overengineering it, the show has already sparked great feedback, opened up conversations with their network, and even led to a new client inquiry from someone who never thought they’d write a book… until they heard the podcast.

The format alternates between co-hosted episodes and guest interviews, and early signs show the conversations between Verity and Christina are resonating especially well. They’re also repurposing episodes into strong social content, with up to 18 clips per show fueling their marketing strategy.

 The podcast is doing a few key things already:

It shows off the dynamic between Verity and Christina – the same dynamic clients experience when they work with them as thinking partners.

It gives potential partners and collaborators a real sense of what they’re about and how they work.

And it’s building a growing archive of smart, useful content they can continue to repurpose and build from.

Now the question is how to keep using the show to drive growth without adding too much to the to-do list.

That brings up a few smaller questions:

How do you stay consistent when time is tight?

Can repurposing and planning be handed off?

What kind of guests or formats will grow the network and the brand?

And most importantly – how do you keep showing up in a way that reflects your values and gets real results?

The New Plan

As you’ll have heard in the episode, Verity and Christina are off to a strong start with Intelligent Think and now it’s all about doing more with less effort.

They already work with a videographer for recording and editing, and Verity’s using tools like Opus to slice episodes into social clips – but she’s still handling a lot of the posting and promo herself. The plan now is to bring someone in to help with that side of things, so the content doesn’t just exist, it actually works.

They’re also going to be more intentional about using the podcast to grow their network – choosing guests with partnership potential, and maybe even sneaking in the occasional prep call (which Verity admits she’s skipped so far… because everyone’s been a friend).

No new feed, no fancy restructure – just refining what’s already working, so the show can keep growing without turning into a full-time job.

Intelligent Think is a classic Thought Leadership Podcast. It’s all about sharing ideas, exploring frameworks, and modeling the kind of deep thinking Verity and Christina bring to their client work.

Here are the stats to keep an eye on for a podcast that’s all about building authority and sharing your ideas:

  1. How many people mention the podcast when they reach out to work with you or reference specific episodes in conversations.
  2. The number of invitations you get to speak, collaborate, or be a guest on other shows (especially if they come from people who’ve listened).
  3. Any growth in your network – LinkedIn connections, newsletter signups, or general visibility that you can tie back to the show.
  4. And if you like tracking downloads, go for it, but focus more on who is listening and how they’re engaging than just the number itself.
